Gay marriages prove marriage is resilient?

You have to love this peice of warped logic from conservative writer Denise Noe.

Ms Noe seems to view the destruction of marriage as a sort of fashion trend. And because those hip gays are clammering after it, she sees hope that conservative campaigners can promote marriage into being popular again.

But its not this simple. Men's avoidance of marriage is not because it isn't fashionable, its because all the social rights and responsibilities that made marriage make sense for a man have been destroyed. And its not going to be changed overnight by some silly PR campaign.
