Are women scared of the penis?

Similarly, I was in the Tate Modern gallery the other week and walked into a room in which the exhibit was a projector playing a film of a man and woman, both naked, passing back and forth a large white ball to eachother, whilst sitting on a sofa. I stood there for a while, watching this surreal yet strangely hypnotic video, but also watching the other people coming into the room. Every time the soft little penis of the man in the video became visible, any woman in the room would giggle and immediately leave the room, or would become uncomfortable and leave. Why? Is it really that offensive? I don't think they could have been hugely embarrassed in front of the other visitors, as the room was dark.
