UK conservatives plan to reverse family breakdown

Probably only of interest if you are in the UK:

Tax breaks worth thousands of pounds a year and a sweeping overhaul of the law to strengthen marriage are at the heart of a Conservative strategy to reverse family breakdown.

Key points are:

Tax breaks for married couples
Divorce to be made more difficult
End to benefits incentives for women to remain unmarried
Pre-nup contracts to be made legally binding

Marriage stinks! So anything that seeks to 'strengthen' it does not get my vote. Pre-nuptial agreements might easy the obscenity of marriage but I doubt it. Also what about the poor sods who fell into the hell hole of marriage when such agreements where not even thought of? For them there is nothing else than the abyss.
