Lexie was born prematurely at just 23 weeks - a week before the time limit for termination - yet is winning her five-month battle to survive and is home with her family.

Of course, ultimately, if one is to seek a rational and moral way to set a time limit for abortion it should be based on discovering at what stage of development the unborn baby is aware of pain, rather than the current expediency of basing it on at what age he or she can survive.
