The new play 'Equus': Harry Potter (a.k.a. Daniel Radcliffe) takes off his clothes - every last pant and sock - and drops them in an untidy pile on the floor before us.
I'm curious: do middle aged women usually go ga-ga over seeing the penis of any teenage boy, or is it only the ones who happen to be millionaires?
Its kind of creepy how they based a whole article on the 17 year old Radcliffe baring his penis. Its not even a review of the play. Its not even an article written for the 'entertainment' section of the paper (as play reviews usually would be), but is in the Femail section of the Daily Mail.
If there was a male section of the newspaper, and it had a whole feature article on some 17 year old girl baring her vulva, any middle aged male author writing about it in such terms would be called a dirty old man. But apparently its fine for women to act in such a way.
Men's desires = perversions (unless they happen to co-incide with what women want)
Women's desires = healthy interest, and art.
