Accusations against Paul McCartney

Heather Mills is accusing her estranged husband Paul McCartney of repeated violence against her.

Yesterday, all his troubles seemed so far away, but it was only a matter of time before Heather Mills started hitting below the belt in order to get her hands on McCartney's millions (God, I'm starting to write like a tabloid journalist!). The whole thing is obviously a load of lies and exagerations made up to at the very least plant doubt in people's minds about him. But to me they just don't ring true at all. McCartney is a man who has lived in the spotlight of publicity all his life, and lives a good deal of his life surrounded by staff. If he was really such a physically violent and vindictive character then this would have almost certainly come out before. He was married to Linda for God knows how many years, and I can't imagine that she was the sort of woman who would have put up with being treated violently. The accusations just don't ring true.

Its ironic that the man who sang in one of his most famous songs "Will you still need me when I'm 64?" is now being shafted like this in his 64th year.

Maybe one day soon, such wealthy men will realise that if they donated even a tiny percentage of their fortunes to the men's movement, they could start to combat such unfair treatment of men in divorce cases, and potentially save themselves millions and millions.
