Commercialisation of the family

A full-time stay-at-home mother would earn $134,121 a year if paid for all her work, an amount similar to a top U.S. ad executive, a marketing director or a judge, according to a study released on Wednesday.

Where would this line of thinking end? How much should a father get paid? How much should a grandparent?

Should a child get paid for looking after an elderly parent?

Should you expect to get paid for helping a friend or neighbour through a personal crisis? After all, without you they may have had to pay to see a psychologist.

Well said, Darren - "The Commercialization Of The Family". However, the "main stream media" is not really main stream anymore and it is increasing becoming irrelevent to many people, as who in their right mind would even consider this story anything other than total shit just to take up blank space and pander to silly delusional women - which have I.Q's lower than mushrooms.
