Playstation 3

Sony on Monday revealed key details of its PlayStation 3 video-game console, saying that two million of the next-generation game machines would hit stores in Japan on November 11 and in the United States, Europe and Australia on November 17.

Sounds great, technologically. Although I have to admit that I like the look of the next Nintendo console. Call it nostagia: it will be able to play all the back catalog of old Nintendo games. It also has a pretty interesting hand controler. Although the final name for it is dumb: Wii

The Sony PS3 will probably cost consumers less to buy than it costs Sony to make, as the profits will come from the games. It also comes with a new high-definition Blu-Ray DVD format. But will this just be another failed Sony format like Betamax, mini-disc and UMDs?

Hey Darren, dunno if you are aware but you can get a free emulator for your computer for those old nintendo/sega games called Mame32. You can then download all the old games you want. I'm having a blast playing Mario brothers and F-Zero :)
