Well, such a thing is hardly surprising. Feminists wish to shift the balance, so the notion that the "true" head of the church was supposed to be a woman gives them that opportunity. Nevermind that a conspiracy between the 12 male apostles against Mary would had to exist in order for this to actually happen.
